Call for Performing Artists
EDHE Lekgotla 2020
We are giving student performers an opportunity to follow their passion once more!
On behalf of the Department Higher Education and Training (DHET) and Universities South Africa (USAF), we bring you the free virtual EDHE Lekgotla 2020. In the true spirit of this year’s theme, #AfroTech – African Entrepreneurship through Technology, the lekgotla will take place through the innovative use of event technology. The event will include the third annual one-day Studentpreneurs Indaba, brought to you by the EDHE Studentpreneurs Community of Practice (CoP), aimed at supporting entrepreneurial students who do business while also studying.
We are giving student performers an opportunity to follow their passion once more. With new technology, performers are able to stream live- or pre-recorded performances to viewers on various platforms and we aim to do that through our events platform, Whova. The current pandemic provides opportunities as it calls upon all of us to do things differently. We would like to call on musicians and performers to promote and showcase their talent and reach audiences across Africa and the rest of the world. This presents artists with significantly greater earning opportunities when watched by our lekgotla audience.
