Annual EDHE Kick-off 2024
The annual EDHE Kick-off Event: Economic Activation Offices (EAOs) Workshop, 27 to 28 February 2024, Premier Hotel, O.R Tambo
The upcoming EAO workshops are to be held from 27 to 28 February 2024 and hold a distinctive theme for 2024, focusing on: “activating and shaping entrepreneurial universities for economic impact”. Notably, the workshop encompasses both cohort 1, building on the insights gained from the initial workshop, and welcomes cohort 2 which includes 16 universities into the fold.
As we prepare for the second EAO workshop since inception, the focus remains on deepening our understanding of the functions outlined for EAOs, with a keen eye on supporting alignment among university stakeholders, fostering collaboration with existing entities, and refining the coordination of support, networking, and information sharing. The unique theme for 2024 reflects the imperative of continual improvement and adaptation within the entrepreneurial university framework.
This workshop serves as an inclusive platform for both cohort 1 and the newly introduced cohort 2, offering a collective exploration of strategies and initiatives that will further propel these offices and their affiliated universities toward enhanced economic influence. As participants converge, the shared objective persists – to actively contribute to economic development, foster collaboration, and collectively shape the trajectory of entrepreneurial universities as vital contributors to societal impact.
The EAO workshops will be followed by the annual EDHE Kick-off CoP meetings which will be held virtually on Thursday the 29th of February 2024, aimed at welcoming new CoP members for 2024 and planning their activities for the year.
Target audience:
We invite two representatives of each university to attend the workshops. Regrettably, due to capacity and budget, we will not be able to accommodate more that 2 representatives. It is compulsory for the appointed Economic Activation Officer of each university to attend.
