LEKGOTLA 2021
entrepreneurship #againstallodds
11 – 14 October 2021
09:00 am – 17:00pm
University of Pretoria
Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE), in collaboration with Universities South Africa (USAf) and the Department Higher Education and Training (DHET), with the support of the national EDHE Communities of Practice (CoPs) and the University of Pretoria, invite you to the 5th annual national EDHE Lekgotla.
The EDHE Lekgotla 2021– the flagship four-day gathering of university leaders, academics, support professionals, students, practitioners and thought leaders – has become a significant engagement platform for the higher education entrepreneurship community in South Africa.
The theme of the EDHE Lekgotla 2021 is entrepreneurship #againstallodds, informed by the imperative of developing entrepreneurship despite concerning challenges faced within the broader socio-economic context and its impact on the higher education sector.
The EDHE Lekgotla 2021 is intended to facilitate the sharing of good practices and emerging practices and initiatives in university entrepreneurship. The programme promises to bring new insights and recommendations, while developing key aspects in positioning universities for their role in entrepreneurship, innovation, commercialisation and policy development. This is achieved by creating opportunities for networking and collaboration, while identifying and addressing challenges in entrepreneurship development at universities.
