The question posed to Ms Dineo Lioma (on Monday, 14 September) regarding: Where do you locate South African universities in this space (offering technical skills, exposure to commercialising ideas and developing IP) and what does it take to get to the right space? – was to be aptly answered in the Durban University of Technology (DUT)’s talk – that followed on the topic above. Continuity presenters had mentioned DUT among public universities leading in entrepreneurship development and practice, in South Africa.
The main speaker in this slot (during the Starting a business with the benefit of tertiary education session of the Studentpreneurs Indaba on Monday) was meant to be Mr Siyabonga Ndwalane, an alumnus of DUT and founder of a company called Turn-up Speakers.
