EDHE Student Women Economic Empowerment Programme Student Chapters
The SWEEP student chapters are brought to you by the SWEEP programme, where we would like to have a SWEEP chapters within the 26 public universities. We envision to have a chapter run entirely by students who will form committees managed according to University policies and procedures.
Objectives:
- to develop an awareness of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial activity as a means of economic participation amongst university student women and women in business and the workplace;
- to equip student women with transferable and practical skills and opportunities; and
- to provide opportunities for the development of expertise and thought leadership in terms of women in entrepreneurship
- to promote opportunities to support, connect and grow through mentoring, networking, training, coaching and providing access to women entrepreneurs and women in business.
- provide an enabling platform for the exchange of ideas and experience between studentprenerus and working women in the entrepreneurship space.
- advance women entrepreneurship and provide support for student female entrepreneurs.
- provide a safe space for student women entrepreneurs to address challenges they face such as Gender-Based Violence and other forms of discrimination.
